The
Padres Oliver Perez throws his 2nd No-Hitter on 08/24/05
against the Astros. In the 4-0 victory, Perez faced the
minimum 27 batters while throwing 125 pitches. The only
runner to reach base was a leadoff walk in the 2nd
inning that was quickly erased with a 6-4-3 double play
to end the inning. Perez sat down 24 consecutive
batters. Perez's first no hitter came back on 06/20/05
against the Blue Jays in a 3-0 victory. In this game,
Perez would walk 4 and face 3 over the minimum. With his
first no hitter, Perez pushed his record to 11-5, but
since then, he has gone on an unfortunate tailspin going
2-6 since then before throwing his gem on 08/24/05.
Perez is the only pitching in ABL history to throw a No
No and now he has 2.
